A teacher once told me that privacy is a myth. I tend to agree with that statement. At the same time I think privacy is a useful concept. It allows thoughts or ideas that may be harmful in some contexts to occur in a safe space, as long as that privacy is respected. It follows that not respecting privacy is a potentially harmful action. With knowledge comes responsibility. Be careful.

Because privacy is a useful concept, security becomes important. That same teacher also taught me that there is no security without physical security.
